Basic Running Start Information

Students can start registering for Running Start during spring semester of their 10th grade year.
Students with a 2.9 cumulative GPA qualify for English 101
Students with a 2.4-2.89 GPA need to take English 101 + 099 (English 099 is a 1-credit course not covered by Running Start)
To earn a 2-year AA degree at graduation, students must take 15 credits at Clark each quarter for 2 years.
Students can take 1 class at Legacy and still take 21 credits at Clark. Each class added at Legacy takes away the maximum number of credits students can take at Clark. For example:
0 classes at Legacy allows 21 credits at Clark
1 class at Legacy allows 18 credits at Clark
2 classes at Legacy allows 15 credits at Clark
3 classes at Legacy allows 12 credits at Clark, and so on...
Transportation to Clark is not provided by the district.
Students work with the Legacy Counselor on anything related to High School Graduation. Students work with their Clark advisor on anything related to their Clark Degree.
